Brass Monkey

The Yacht Club at Regina Beach host a restaurant on their premises every year. For the last couple it has been Brass Monkey - upscale food with a great atmosphere.

JP wanted a monkey head, something almost tribal. We tried a few faces, shapes and then it evolved into the full monkey. I used my iPad to draw it out and cleaned it up in illustrator. I was able to find a font that matched the playful, organic shape. Of course the colour had to be a brass with a golden hue.
